Standing Next To You

Designed for Chicago-based filmmaker Gracie Koh. The video can be viewed here.
This project was taken on days before the deadline. Something I had to consider was that the title card was only going to be visible for a few seconds. Keeping this in mind I knew that the words “Standing Next To You” had to be readable first and foremost. Through my design process, I found that the combination of serif and sans-serif fonts can create visual contrasts. Using the script font, I was able to create a striking title card that was easy to read but also created moments of tension with the video itself.
